Latvian Fingerless Mitts       $35

Some of the beautiful knitting methods of Latvia will be studied in this class. Knit one of a pair of fingerless mitts to learn techniques which can be applied to mitten cuffs, sock tops or sleeves: a scalloped cuff, the herringbone braid, and many subtle and beautiful variations of the half-braid. A choice of 2-, 3-, or 4-color traditional motifs is incorporated in the main part of the mitt as well as the gussetless thumb and a picot edge at the end. Additional techniques to be discussed include knitting with 2 yarns in the right hand, 2 yarns in the left hand, or a yarn in each hand, as well as knitting with 3 or 4 colors.

Two Toe Up Socks on Magic Loop or 2 circulars       $40

This is an introductory class for sock knitters. We start on double point needles and worsted weight yarn. Begin here and then progress to the more advanced, two-at-a-time class. Nothing hugs your feet like hand knit wool socks. How about a pair for everyone next Christmas?

Basic Mittens       $30

Who doesn’t love mittens? In this class you will complete the first mitten of a pair. Any size is fine but we will use worsted weight yarn. Any color (s) you like but please stay away from the very dark colors. For those interested, we can cast on the second mitten using the magic loop method. As with all my classes, we will also touch on fixing common mistakes. A perfect class to take after you learn the very basics.







Double Knitting       $30

This stunning scarf is a perfect accent piece for spring. It will be knit in Cascade’s Kid Seta using the double knit technique. This technique results in a reversible piece with images on each side in reverse colors.















Fibonacci Striped Cardigan       $40

The Fibonacci sequence was introduced by a medieval mathematician Leonardo of Pisa, also known as Fibonacci."In mathematics, the Fibonacci numbers are the numbers in the following integer sequence:

By definition, the first two Fibonacci numbers are 0 and 1, and each subsequent number is the sum of the previous two. Fibonacci numbers are often found in nature in the flowers of a petal, the buds on a branch, the swirls on a pinecone. We will explore how to use these numbers to create striping sequences that are pleasing to the eye. Watch this video to fully appreciate the majic of Fibonacci:

To dang cute to ignore. Now I have to go buy a pair of “wellies” (British for Rubber Boots) just so I can use these! Also, you will learn the majic of reversible cables. Never knit a cabled scarf with an ugly backside again! If you’re not into rubber boots, then these also function as awesome leg warmers.

Intro to Lace       $40

The pattern, called “198 yds. of Heaven” is a neckerchief style scarf, sometimes referred to as a shawlette, and is designed to be knit in a small amount of luxury aran, or worsted yarn. It’s a perfect place to jump into lace. It knits up quick and you’ll be wearing it this spring.
